Boating in Capri

Simone and 12 family members lounged in the motorboat as it moved slowly out of the marina. Under a bright blue sky, basking in tropical temperatures, the crystal water that surrounded them beckoned. So when one of the younger family members expressed a desire to jump in, Simone gleefully joined her. After a brief swim, they climbed back onto the boat and motored off. Their guide pointed to the sights, carved or built or grown into the rocky hills of Capri. Soon, however, he slowed the boat and indicated that anybody wishing to do so could jump in the water, swim through a grotto and he would pick the swimmers up on the other side of the grotto. Little B and Simone jumped in, as did most of their group. Little B, unfortunately, had failed to listen to the instructions. He protested violently when the highly saline water got in his eyes, stopping only when it entered his mouth - only to begin anew once said water got out of said mouth. And, to make matters worse, he could see the boat leaving, heightening his distress. Simone did her best to reassure him but between a floaty that had a hole in it, the salt water and his terror, she essentially herded him back to the boat through the grotto. And, of course, being that they travelled through a grotto, little B's screaming echoed back and forth and again, making what might have been an enjoyable experience somewhat stressful. They successfully made it back to the idling boat with little B a bit subdued by then. Sadly, the boat backfired at the very moment when little B was attempting to climb the ladder. A shot of hot water sprayed his face, notably his eyes (and Simone's), renewing the little guy's irritation. In other words, he screamed blue murder. When he finally calmed down, little B's first words were, "I want to do that again!" You think?
