Things not to buy for children
Simone and B went to the dollar store so she could buy some miscellaneous items and, as usual, she allowed B to pick out one item he might want.
He chose a plastic bow and arrows with suction tips.
Unwisely, Simone left the newly purchased items in the back seat with B as she drove home. Within moments of leaving the store, B gleefully tore through the packaging.
"Do not," Simone said through gritted teeth, "play with the bow and arrow right now. Wait until we get home."
But the temptation proved too enticing. B showed a preternatural ease for notching arrows into the bow and quickly began firing.
Lessons learned? Suction tipped arrows stick to the windshield. They do not stick to Mom's head. No matter how many times one tries.
Seriously.
No more bow and arrows toys.
