Suspended...
The fourteen year old was involved in an altercation last week. After a particularly energetic game in the gym, he put one of his buddies in a headlock int the change room. Two other guys came into the room, saw the rough housing going on and decided to get the 14 year old to release his buddy.
In the fray, the 14 year old's friend had his head bashed against the concrete wall. Twice.
Sigh.
At soccer practice that night, the friend temporarily got dizzy and fumbled when they were practising headers. His mother had to keep him up all night after he was diagnosed with a couple of concussions.
How does one justify this? The first misstep was obviously the headlock.
Is there remorse? Perhaps at being caught. And punished.
Life seldom offers simple solutions to complex problems, does it?
