Back to reality

While the drive back home from the airport, after the NYC trip, went well, the arrival itself wasn't picture perfect. Little B, clearly exhausted by all the excitement, travel, early wake ups and late nights, had crashed in his car seat. Nothing short of a natural disaster was gonna wake this little boy: he most definitely needed his sleep. What his Mom and Dad needed was a fairy with a powerful snowplough: the driveway in front of their house was covered with almost three feet of snow! Since parking their car in that much snow was out of the question, Simone's hubby settled for the neighbour's driveway. Thankfully nobody appeared to be home. While hubby went straight for the snow blower, Simone went through the tedious process of removing one suitcase from the car at a time, dragging it across the snow infested sidewalks and into the house. By the time she was ready to bring in the last piece of luggage, little B had finally woken up from his nap. "Woah!" He murmured, clearly dazzled. He'd fallen asleep to green grass and woken up to a winter wonderland. Woe indeed.
