Visiting Little C
Little B bounced from room to room, completely beside himself. "Today is the day! Today is the day!"
Today was the day indeed: he was going to have a play date at little C's house. Simone had mapped out the directions and was ready for the drive into the countryside where little C lived. With his pony and 15 birds and dog and 4 cats. And his Mom and Dad and little sister.
Where Simone was expecting to find a sprawling farmhouse, she discovered a bungalow instead, with a large shed attached. They were ushered into the basement with the two boys leading the way. They arrived at the doors of the playroom and little B stopped stock still, clearly mesmerized by the spectacle. Simone, not far behind, did precisely the same thing. The basement housed a full playground, with a slide, teeter totter and swing. There was a punching bag hanging from the ceiling and a full blown bouncy castle with a slide. This was in addition to a vast array of toys and games and puzzles.
In short, it was a child's dream play room come to life. Little B and little C ran and chased and played for nearly two hours but then it was time to leave: little B was getting a haircut.
"Can I come back?" He asked, holding his breath for the answer.
"Of course!" Beamed little C's mom.
"How about right now?" Little B grinned his best smile.
