Gas leak

Simone tried on her new sandals. She had never worn anything quite so comfortable on her feet before. "You can wear these on our next vacation," Simone's hubby suggested. It was a fair suggestion - what with no fair weather in sight - but Simone was reluctant to wait for these sandals. Really, they felt so comfortable on her feet. She took a few steps. A distinct series of fart-like noises sounded. Simone took a few more steps. More farts. "Dear," said Simone's husband reproachfully. Truly unfair of him, given his usual propensity for gas emissions. Simone sighed. Oh well. Comfort was definitely worth a few pardon me's here and there...
