The Pit

Simone lives in a pit.

No. It's not an exaggeration.

Simone looked out the window this morning and witnessed a horrific amount of snow falling to the ground. She dressed warmly to accompany little B to the bus stop. Visibility was near to nonexistent. The wind rose and howled, sending spirals of snow into her face. The bus arrived and the driver expressed disbelief at the fact that she had to safely taxi children about in this weather.

Simone then stomped back home and shovelled the steps. She cleared hubby's car of snow. Five minutes later, both were once again covered in snow.

Simone informed hubby that his drive to Toronto might be perilous but, as he couldn't cancel, he ventured out anyhow.

Ten minutes later, he texted Simone: "Roads are dry here."

Two minutes after that, he texted, "The sun is out now. Gotta wear shades."

You know you're living in a pit when your end of TOWN is the only one getting snow.

Ugh.
