SURPRISE!!!!

Simone, hubby and the little guy were heading off to Niagara Falls for Family Day weekend. Hubby hurried home from work, finished packing and loaded everyone into the car.

"I'd love a coffee for the road," said Simone. "Can we stop by and get one?"

Simone's hubby looked at her and said, "You know, there's a lot of snow on the roads. It's going to take us at least three hours to get to Niagara Falls."

"That's okay then," said Simone equably.

"I suppose we can get you one," sighed hubby. But he turned right when he got out of the driveway. "I've got to get windshield wiper fluid from the gas station," he explained. "Then we'll get you a coffee. Does your car need windshield wiper fluid?"

"Nope," Simone shook her head.

Hubby parked the car outside the gas station and went in. Simone watched as he exited after paying and picked up a bottle of windshield wiper fluid. Suddenly, the back door of the car opened. Simone's eyes shifted to the intruder's hands to see whether there was a weapon. Nothing but a plastic water bottle. Simone relaxed minimally, thinking that hubby must have forgotten something in the store and the clerk was bringing it out.

Then her gaze finally focused. "Hey!" She exclaimed. "I know you!"

It was her 19 year old. Hubby had arranged for him to travel down from university and spend the weekend with them.

"Don't talk to me for a few minutes," instructed Simone. "I'm going to cry."

"I hope they're happy tears," muttered the 19 year old.
