Hubby had brought a gift on the ship. A gift for Simone's birthday. But he couldn't give it to her immediately because a better version of the present had been purchased and autographed by a friend of his, or so the story went.
So hubby gave Simone a necklace instead. A necklace with a beautiful blue stone pendant. Delighted, Simone wore it for the remainder of the trip.
Little B was less impressed. "What about the other present?" He demanded. "The present with the happy birthday wrapper on it? Can we open that one?"
No, Simone couldn't open it. In any case, she was more than pleased with the present she had around her neck. No need to look further!
"Well I'm going to open it myself," grumped little B.
The present had to be removed from little B's line of sight...
