Cozumel

The treat of the day? A visit to the dolphins in Cozumel. Little B bounced with enthusiasm!

Even though the waters were rough around Cozumel, the dolphins swam in protected alcoves, so there'd be little danger. Other than the cold. With the temperature barely reaching 18 degrees Celsius, it seemed a tad chilly for a dip in the water. However, Simone and little B gamely donned their lifejackets and trailed after their group around the swimming alcoves. They lined up on a water covered ledge (little B's barely touched the ground) and waited to meet and greet the dolphins.

Little B slid his hand across a dolphin's belly, shook her fin and stood almost rock steady as Simone held him for his camera kiss. Flash! The excitement of the meeting waned quickly however, as the group numbered 20 people and the water was indeed cold. First a little girl gave up, her father coming down from the spectators' stand to fetch her then Simone and little B followed suit.

"Did you have fun?" Simone asked little B.

"Yes!" He assured her, nodding enthusiastically. "I'm hungry. Can we go eat?"

Moments do pass by quickly...
