How do you ask your neighbour for a plunger?
Things were getting out of hand. In addition to the laundry room being off limits due to renovations, the downstairs washroom had also been condemned temporarily. This left two washrooms upstairs. Theoretically, that should have sufficed. Reality proved otherwise.
One of the toilets upstairs did not work well already.
And the other, following an overeager use of toilet paper, got plugged up. Seriously plugged up.
So here it was, 8 pm on a Sunday night, and Simone could not find the plunger. Anywhere. She knocked on the tenants' basement door in desperation but they did not have a plunger either.
She contemplated going to the neighbour's house but, really, how do you ask a neighbour for a plunger? That's somewhat... ew. Yeah. Besides, Simone was pretty sure everyone could hold things in until Monday morning when the hardware store opened. Right, everyone?
Oh. Okay then...
Sigh...
