Confirmation and Ribs

The 13 year old's Confirmation was at hand. Simone showed her daughter two dresses. "Which one do you think I should wear?" She asked. Without hesitation, the 13 year old picked a dress and Simone got dressed. The church was already full by the time they arrived, even though they made it 15 minutes early. Luckily, Simone was able to secure a seat for herself, a young friend who'd joined their family celebration, her son and her mother. They watched the event unfold, struggled to remain awake and to entertain little B who was not overly impressed with the ceremony. Little B was, however, impressed with the cake that was served following the event. He had two large slices! Afterward, everyone went back to Simone's for a delicious meal featuring ribs, prepared by Simone's inimitable husband. The ribs were simply outstanding! To top off the day, Simone's husband performed some magic tricks for the group. That's what he does: he makes magic happen! Meanwhile, Simone's daughter made a disparaging comment about Simone's dress. "But I let you decide which dress I should wear," she protested. "Yeah, you did," agreed the 13 year old. "I picked the least sl**ty one." It looks like we've entered a new era, folks. Confirmation must be a graduation of sorts.
