Ziplining in Rotorua

Rotorua ziplining was an ecotourism adventure: the aim of installing a zipline through the park was to have tourists come, bringing in necessary funds to revive the native New Zealand ecosystem. Before humans arrived, birds ruled in New Zealand. Unfortunately, humans brought with them, wittingly and not so wittingly, possums, rats and stoats. These animals thrived in New Zealand, feasting and decimating the native bird populations with the help of their two legged hunter buddies. Now, in a protected area in Rotorua, zip lining proceeds go toward trapping, killing and removal of possums, rats and stoats. What's more, the zip lining is fun, scenic and educational. Oh. Yeah. And the pictures at this zip lining outfit are actually free to download!!!
