Simone thinks that the title says it all. It's chilly in July. Who ever heard of that? Summer vacation activities so far have included the library, the mall, the water fountains and a fair. The sweater is never far. Even in the middle of the day, once the sun hides behind the clouds the temperature dips dangerously low. Low enough that not once has Simone donned a bikini this summer.
Today's chosen activity appears to be slipping on rubber boots for some puddle splashing time. Yes, that sort of endeavour is generally best suited for fall weather but guess what? There are puddles everywhere! The worms are hanging out on the sidewalk cafés so as to avoid drowning in the mud under the grass. Simone's herbs are actually flourishing? Whoever heard of anything so bizarre?
The good news is that the weather forecast calls for sun this weekend!
