Boy and Dog, Dog and Boy

Yesterday, the sun shone bright and warm with a perfect breeze passing through to keep the temperature just right. Simone, Baby B and Eliot the dog spent some time by the side of the house where Baby B keeps his outdoor toys.

"Come, Dawg!" ordered the bossy one (Baby B).

Dawg, being for the most part a good dog, came over to see what the fuss was about. Baby B showed Dawg a choice pebble. "'Ere, Dawg," said Baby B. Eliot dutifully chewed on the pebble. After a moment or two, the pebble fell quietly into the water of Baby B's miniature pool. Of common accord, Eliot and Baby B leaned forward into the water and lapped up fresh rain water.

Thus refreshed, Baby B thought of a game that was new. They had to start playing. What else could they do? Baby B placed a pebble on the ledge of his mini pool and, showing it to Dawg, enticed his four legged friend to have a taste of rock. And, being a dog of good manners (for the most part) and lousy taste in foodstuff (for the entire part), Eliot had a lick and a chew. Fortunately, he never swallowed...
