It's hot, it's cold... is it spring yet?

Over the long weekend, the temperature soared into the twenties (Celsius) and dipped so low after the sun went down that frost warnings were issued two nights in a row. Simone didn't know what to do with herself!

On the basis, precarious though it was, that the date indicated it was clearly spring and thus gardening should occur in the very near future, Simone planted a rose bush that she received for Mother's Day. She pulled weeds and helped to smooth out several layers of mulch. She chased after Baby B outside when the temperature climbed high enough for the little guy to actually want to go outside. She tried to keep the dog, who had repeated fights with the garden hose (the dog lost) from dragging his wet carcass inside the house.

She sweated, she shivered... You'd have thought she had the flu! But the week ahead promises temperatures guaranteed not to freeze toes so, perhaps, it IS spring?

Let's hope so!
