Ooops...

Simone finally wrangled an appointment out of the doctor's office. Little B's cough had not improved and though his fever came and went, it seemed to come more and more frequently, with increasing severity. Since the doctor's office is not very far from Simone's house, she decided that they would walk. "Maybe all we need is a little fresh air," she reasoned. Little B, always up for an adventure, agreed readily. The 5 minute walk to the doctor flew by and there they were, waiting in the doctor's office. The doctor listened to little B's chest. "It's pneumonia," he declared. Simone's face fell. "Really?" She asked. "His fever kept going away! I thought..." "It's called 'Walking Pneumonia'," clarified the doctor. "But it's still pneumonia. He's got the crackle in his chest, especially on the left side. I'll schedule an X-Ray just to confirm but in the meantime, fill this prescription for him. It's a very strong antibiotic and he should get better very quickly." Simone left, the script in hand, her heart and thoughts in turmoil. She'd made a little boy with pneumonia walk to the doctor's office....
