Name that tune!

Little B has a new toy guitar. He is extremely proud of his new guitar. He pulled the strings of the plastic contraption and smiled at Simone.

"What's that, Mom?" He asked.

Simone stopped moving, unsure of what was required of her. "Um, a song?" She hazarded.

Little B frowned. "No!" He shouted. "It's 'Jingle Bells'!"

"Oh," said Simone, feeling chastised.

Little B pulled at the strings again. "Okay. What's that, Mom?" He asked, staring expectantly at Simone.

"Jingle Bells?" Offered Simone.

"No!" Little B looked outraged. "It's 'Petit papa Noël!"

"Oh."

Little B shook his head at his wayward mother. "We try one more time," he pulled the guitar strings. "What's that, Mom?" He asked once more.

Simone concentrated but drew a complete blank. All she heard was dissonance. She sighed. "Vive le vent?" She guessed.

Little B just gave his mother a look full of reproach and put down the guitar. "It's 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star."

"Oh."

Simone may have to take remedial music lessons... Is there a course on how to decipher your kid's musical creations?
