A prodigal son returns

The university year has come to a close and the Ottawa resident has returned home. The Toronto resident has chosen to stay there, occupying his apartment, working and attending a communications class.

So the 18 year old saw his little brother, the three year old, for the first time in six months.

"He reads?" The 18 year old sat slack-jawed as the budding genius read from a long-winded book.

"He adds?" The 18 year old shook his head, eyes wide.

"He counts up to what?" The 18 year old asked.

Simone didn't know the answer to that one. The little guy can definitely count up to 40 in French and in English with no hiccups though. Maybe more.

"And he recognizes big numbers?" The 18 year old turned on his mother. "Why didn't you spend more time teaching me these things when I was little?" He demanded.

You just can't win. And the 18 year old's report card in first year math and sciences consisted of nothing but A's. What does he want?
